Frequently Asked Questions
We are very happy to welcome XL Bullys to Rutland Dog Park, provided that handlers strictly adhere to the following safety and legal requirements:
Registration & Insurance: The dog must be registered with the Index of Exempted Dogs (IED), and owners must hold a valid public liability insurance policy. Copies of both the Certificate of Exemption and the insurance certificate must be provided to us upon request.
Health & Identification: In line with UK government guidelines, your dog must be microchipped and neutered.
Entering and Leaving the Field: Your dog must remain securely on a lead and muzzled when entering the park until the main gate is securely shut. Before opening the gate to leave, the lead and muzzle must be put back on.
Inside the Secured Field (Single Household): Once inside the enclosed park, you are free to remove both the lead and muzzle. If you are bringing multiple dogs from the same household, they may use the field together with a minimum of one handler, and all dogs (including the XL Bully) can run free without a lead or muzzle.
Mixed Household Groups: If the field is being shared with dogs from different households, any banned breed must remain muzzled and on a lead for the entire duration of the session, under a strict 1:1 dog-to-handler ratio.
